Amy Holder
M.S. LPC - Clinical Director
If you're in a season of navigating anxiety, burnout, a major life transition, or simply feeling exhausted from trying to hold everything together, therapy can offer a space to slow down, gain clarity, and figure out what you need moving forward.
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and Clinic Director at Winding Path Psychotherapy. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, burnout, and life transitions, including career changes, relationship challenges, and other major shifts. Many of my clients are thoughtful, capable people who are used to pushing through challenges on their own but are ready for a space where they don't have to have everything figured out. Together, we'll work toward helping you feel less overwhelmed, more confident in how you navigate challenges, and better able to build a life that feels sustainable and aligned with what matters to you.
There's no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. I tailor treatment to each client by integrating evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, body-based strategies, and principles of Integrative Mental Health. Together, we'll explore your thoughts and emotions while also considering how factors such as stress, sleep, nutrition, and lifestyle may influence your overall well-being.
I take a laid-back, collaborative approach while still being honest and direct when it matters. Therapy doesn't have to feel stiff or overly clinical to be effective. Our work may include reflection, education, practical skill-building, and the occasional laughter. My goal is for you to leave sessions with greater clarity, useful tools, and a deeper understanding of yourself.
In my role as Clinic Director, I also support our clinicians and contribute to the continued growth and quality of Winding Path. I believe that supporting clinicians and creating sustainable practice systems ultimately helps us provide better care to the clients we serve.
I provide individual telehealth therapy for adults (23+) throughout Wisconsin. I welcome and affirm members of the LGBTQIA+ community and strive to create an inclusive, respectful environment where every client feels seen and supported.
