Bethany Kapellen
LPC-IT
Hi there! I’m Bethany and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-IT. I aim to provide a non-judgmental, compassionate, and collaborative therapeutic environment to empower you to make positive changes in life and relationships. In my work with couples, families, and individuals we will identify exciting and motivating goals that value each person’s unique strengths and identities. I use an integrative, evidence-based, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed approach. We may uncover parts of our past and unresolved traumas stored in the body that need healing through the application of the mind-body connection. I believe that to heal, we need to understand your past and how that relates to our present patterns of being. From there, we can decide what patterns to keep and what patterns to change while cultivating self-compassion. While working through this process together in therapy, I can offer ideas, practices, and strategies to help you make lasting changes. Our work can help you gain access to an easeful and joyful way of living and being.
I come to the therapy profession from a background in exercise/fitness, parenting, and neurodivergence. While education allows for the training, these experiences allow me to show up for you with wisdom as well!
I understand that beginning therapy can be overwhelming, so I strive to make you feel safe and cared for on your path of healing.
I would be honored to walk with you on that path.
